Ryse and Shyne, a local athleisure label, has officially launched its debut collection with a mission to celebrate body neutrality the concept of feeling neutral and at peace with one’s own body. Beyond simply providing comfortable activewear, the brand aims to create a safe space for women to reconcile with their bodies, regardless of shape or size.
Felicia Kawilarang, Founder & CEO of Ryse and Shyne, stated that the entire collection was thoughtfully designed over the course of a year. "This collection is crafted using high-quality materials with four-way stretch and precision cutting, allowing it to adapt to the body's movements without feeling restrictive. It is incredibly comfortable and feels like a second skin," Felicia said during the launch event in Jakarta (Sept 26, 2025).
She also noted that the materials chosen are eco-friendly and designed with specific stitching techniques and precise detailing to ensure comfort during physical activity.
Celebrating Strength and Softness
Felicia hopes that through Ryse and Shyne, every woman will feel free to express herself and love herself for both her strength and her softness. "It aligns with body neutrality, which teaches us to accept our bodies with compassion while appreciating what they are capable of doing, rather than focusing solely on how they look," she explained.
Wellness influencer Andra Alodita added that clothing serves as a form of self-expression and identity, as well as a way to show love for our bodies. "As an identity, if someone wears certain clothes, we immediately know they’ve just finished Pilates or a workout, for example," she said. According to her, athleisure is no longer limited to exercise; it has become everyday wear due to its high level of comfort.
